The final season will be set in the fall of 1987, and Netflix has confirmed the episode titles. Interestingly, the second episode’s title has been kept a secret, leading to plenty of speculation among fans.

Stranger Things Season 5 new cast members
Season 5 will bring back all the beloved and base characters from Hawkins while introducing some new faces. Nell Fisher, Jake Connelly, and Alex Breaux will be joining the cast. The biggest addition is The Terminator star Linda Hamilton. Speaking at Netflix’s Tudum event in 2023, she shared her excitement about joining the series, saying, “I don’t know how to be a fangirl and an actress at the same time.”

The Duffer Brothers have carefully planned the storyline, even creating a detailed 25-page document that explains the secrets of the Upside Down. While Season 4 answered some major questions, the final season is expected to reveal even more.
During Netflix’s Geeked Week in 2022, Ross Duffer said, “The last remaining questions that are answered in that document, we’ve punted a couple of those to have some big reveals in Season 5.” He added, “And that’s really going to affect what Season 5 is about.”
